3 years ago today I was sitting in my office, watching my 5" black and white TV, watching Nick Saban's opening press conference at the University of Alabama. That day changed the future and history of Alabama football. Since that day, everything has been absolutely phenomenal. We couldn't ask for a better opening to a head coach's career at the Capstone. As a matter of fact, it looks a lot like a certain coach that was hired back in 1990.
2. Terrence Cody, live at the Chuckle Hut in Pasadena
Apparently Mount Cody's part of the press conference was pretty funny. You can read more about it here. I'm glad the guys are in a good mood. Just not sure if I like how loose he was with the tongue. Luckily he didn't say anything about the opposition...at least not that I know of.
3. Kirby Smart appears to be staying
Looks like our DC will be here next year, at least according to what he's telling the media. I can dig it. Read more here.
4. McElwain is staying around too
Coach Mac didn't get a whole lot of phone calls about jobs this season. We'll see what happens with him, but I don't see a lot of places for him to go at the moment. He's a genious for what Nick Saban wants to do, and he'll be well compensated, so I don't forsee him headed anywhere anytime soon. Read more here.
5. Rolo says it's been tough
Rolando McClain says practice has been hard work for this bowl game. He's saying it was kinda like preseason practice. Everybody is geared up for this one. It's been physical.
