The day started off on a bad note, with Bobbie Massie choosing to go to Ole Miss instead of Bama. I really wanted this kid. 6'8" 325lbs offensive lineman, and he just looks like a beast. I really think, though, that we're going to work out just fine with Fluker and Carpenter. :-) We've got some big ol' boys in this class that should keep us just fine across the offensive and defensive lines.
Dre's announcement was pretty entertaining. That Texas hat "ain't got no swagger to it." So was Richardson's. I'm pretty sure it was obvious that he was signing with Alabama once everyone saw his family walk in with their Alabama gear on, and AJ McCarron and DJ Fluker were standing to the side.
This class and last year's class are the ones that national championships are built on. Just on the offensive side of the ball alone, we have AJ, DJ, Julio, and Trent. 4 players that could all end up as All-Americans. AJ needs some work, but I could see him being the leader of that group.
It's gonna be a fun few years in Tuscaloosa, my friends.
