So, I'll admit, I'm lazy. I took today off work and slept in a lil bit to catch up on some much needed sleep. I also went ahead and made my picks for the week and updated my band's site before I got on here. So you might could say I'm slackin...hard.
Anyway, on to the daily stuff.
You've read link after link about all of this, so I'll map out the basic preview for tomorrow:
Alabama always struggles in Oxford.
Ole Miss always plays over their heads against us.
We generally win, but it is always close.
We're thin on defense, but have looked ok against the run.
Ole Miss has a helluva running back, but has underperformed on the ground this year.
If we don't get pressure, Seth Adams will pick our zone apart.
If Ole Miss doesn't get pressure, they'll get hit with some big plays over the top.
John Parker will probably look lousy.
The running game will be effective but under-used.
The defense will give up a big play or two to keep the thing closer than it should be.
...and there you have it. That's about the best way to sum it up. That's how every Alabama / Ole Miss game in Oxford goes, other than the anomalies in 2001 and 2003.
I don't have any proof to back this up, but I really think that our special teams will be huge. Look for Javier Arenas to have the game of his life. Just a gut feeling.
Robert Lester, the safety from Foley that had two picks against Daphne, supposedly committed to Alabama today. Still waiting on word of that. He and Julio Jones are apparently good friends and are wanting to attend school together.
I figure I'll post more about the Ole Miss game in the morning. At the moment, I'm gonna go enjoy the rest of my day off! ROLL TIDE!
