So I've started seeing this pop up everywhere - and with just cause. This is absolutely the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
Houndstooth Condominiums is a new project being built less than half a mile from Bryant-Denny Stadium. It's close enough to be able to go park and stay for a weekend, and never have to drive your car anywhere on campus. You can walk to the stadium, to the convenience store, etc.
But the advertising that they're using is just ridiculous. As the M-Zone put it, "this is a black eye to Alabama fans everywhere."
And yes, I understand it's a joke. But it's classless, and that's the last thing we want as Alabama fans. If you want to joke about it with your buddies, that's fine. I do it all the time, but to use it in advertising makes us ALL look bad.

Totally agree with you. Contrary to what some have said, our post wasn't anti-Bama as we'd have said the same thing if a developer marketed a project the same way in Ann Arbor. # posted by Yost : 3:23 PM
Good post Memphis. I agree with what you said. This kind of stuff isn't necessary and casts a bad light on all of us.
While Fulmer isn't on my Christmas card list there is no reason to advertise spitting on the guy as an amenity for a condo, or any other reason. The corndog comment is pretty lame as well. I'm not sure where the corndog/LSU fan correlation comes from, but I don't really get it, or think it is funny.
Anyway, good job, man. # posted by AL C. Hemist : 7:56 PM
The corndog comment has to do with an Auburn blog that let everyone know that LSU fans smell like corndogs. It's kinda funny to joke around with - but not put in legit advertising. # posted by Memphis Tider : 8:38 AM
I feel like Seinfeld in the episode where his dentist (can't remember his name) converted to Judaism and then proceeded to tell Jewish jokes. Seinfeld went to visit a priest about it and the priest asked if he was offended because he was Jewish. Seinfeld said no. He was offended because he was a comedian. The "jokes" on the website wouldn't have bothered me nearly as much if they had been funny and original. # posted by WRhodesTider : 11:23 AM
