Well well well...
Last night was ridiculous. But that's ok. Win the next two and you're set for a showdown at Mississippi State. I think we actually have good depth now (I'm sure we had it earlier as well). We have to win the next three to have a winning conference record. I'll settle for 8-8. Anything less is pathetic.

Days 'til Selection Sunday: 17
Days 'til Spring Practice: 30
Today's RPI: 28
BracketWAG: 7 seed vs Arizona
Bracket Predictions: 7 seed
ESPN Bracketology: 10 seed vs Louisville

Man. I kinda just wish this season was over right now. I'm sick of screaming at the TV.

Comments: MemphisTider,

Any thoughts on what is going on with Gee? Did he get set down over defensive effort or poor shot selection? If Steele is hurt/ineffective do you think Gottfriend should go to Torrance over Hollinger?
# posted by Blogger AL C. Hemist : 11:11 AM   I really think Gottfried was doing it to, once again, prove a point to his starters. Gottfried is letting them know that there are kids behind them that are JUST as good as they are, and if they keep slacking around, then he's going to play them instead.

Bye bye NBA. Bye bye NCAA tournament, etc.

Gottfried doesn't give a damn about the tournament or anything else right now. He's trying to get them to play as a team.

Gee's was defensive effort and being all around stupid with the basketball, I would guess. Hollinger didn't play exceptionally well either, so that's why he was benched. All of them made dumb decisions with the basketball.

Now, to their defense, Tennessee's defense was MURDERING everyone to get those steals and turnovers, at least in the first half. Only a handful were legit...the others were a travesty in officiating.

I saw you posted a comment about the officiating being just plain unfair to the road team and I have to agree. I know some people will point out it has helped us at home a couple of times, but to win on the road in this conference you almost have to be 15 points better than the opponent to score the W.

Alabama is just flat out better suited to play against opposition like the Pac-10, Big 10, etc. There are teams that we can matchup with so well. And the officials will actually call the games somewhat fair. I'll post videos of some of the no-calls from the Bama-TN game later.
