Got a few phone calls over the past few days that Ozzie Newsom (the supposed next AD) is pushing Rick Neuheisel. I couldn't figure out why on Earth anybody would be brining up his name with this coaching search because, to me, the guy is not an SEC coach. At all.
But then the Ozzie part came in. Ozzie personally brought in Neuheisel as quarterbacks coach for the Ravens. He has done a fairly good job over the past couple of years (there's not much you can do with an injured Kyle Boller or even a healthy Anthony Wright).
I still think it would be a HORRIBLE decision. But there could be some validity to it. Would Ozzie really want Neuheisel to coach at UA?
