I'm always amazed at the "critics" that talk in basketball circles, etc. Does it seem odd to anyone else that the AP and the Coaches poll both have Alabama at #8 in the country, but nobody in the ESPN Expert's Top 16 has them higher than 9th?

Andy Katz and Doug Gottlieb don't even have them in their top 16, and Katz even puts Air Force, Texas, Texas A Marquette, Oregon, Nevada, and Clemson as the teams waiting to get in.

I just fail to see how any expert can put teams like Gonzaga (who has lost four games so far), Wichita St (who has lost three straight to less than stellar opposition), Maryland, and UConn (which lost it's only test of the season so far, to West Virginia) in the top 12 or 13, but then put Alabama lower, or not in at all. It seems a bit biased to me.
