The basketball team went to Raleigh, NC and handled the Wolfpack 82-75 last night. That score is actually waaaay closer than the game was. Alabama led by as many as 23 points with around 6 and a half minutes left.
It was good to see Ronald Steele back. I'll be much happier whenever he's back to 100% because you could tell last night he was only at about 75%. It's incredible how well he can shoot the basketball. He doesn't take bad shots, and he can find ANY open man...even when he's not at full health. Kinda scary for the SEC, ehh?
Richard Hendrix is a man amongst boys. Brandon Hollinger still has work to do in pressure situations (free throws, ball handling, etc). Mykal Riley is a much better version of Jean Felix. Jermareo, of course, is Jermareo. Didn't see any of Justin Tubbs yesterday, which was kinda surprising. I thought he had earned some time in the big games. He's deadly accurate from long range and some nights we could really use that. I guess his inexperience is too big of a risk though.
Anyway, still nothing on the coaching search, other than more talk about Saban and Gruden. More when I hear it.
