"On November 27, 2006, Steve Spurrier is expected to be announced as the new Head Football Coach at the University of Alabama by Bama Athletics Director Mal Moore. The Bama deal is reported to be 10 Years/$30 Million."
Strange that they would have the first scoop. Legit?

Not sure why they would have it first... that is odd... But I did love this part of his Bio...
Poked fun at a fire that burned 20 books at an Auburn University football dorm, saying "But the real tragedy was that fifteen hadn't been colored yet!"
Thats the kind of guy we need!!! LOL # posted by Anonymous : 2:42 AM
Very interesting!!! Hope we not just wishing, even with all the evidence pointing nicely... It was a good bio, but I hated to hear he was an ATO!!! I am a PIKE!! Phi Phi Brothers out there!!! I guess no man can be perfect, hmmmm, yes, I will welcome the Visored ATO coach to the Capstone... won't ya'll??? # posted by Anonymous : 2:46 AM
Yes it would be a blessing from Bear if this were to turn out true. Time to rise up out of the SEC West shadows and return to prominence.

I Blessing from the Bear it would be... I didn't know bout the "edit" thing... but like I told ya Hawaii, I have got great info hear(props, broke music box!) and I got really interesting responses and comments tonight... Let's just see what happens in the next day or two... I do know that Tidesports.com, ABC 33/40, Fox news, and CBS 42 would not be releasing if not Shula has been dismissed... And I know the University would not do that unless we had a coach!!! it went too bad before with the Fran/Mike Price thing... Let's just wait and see what ends up being confirmed, I think the NATION will be pleased enough to trump the trunks!!! RTR # posted by Anonymous : 3:07 AM
opps again, I need to start paying attention and not relying on spell checker... don't want a barner to mistake me for uneducated!!! LOL Hawaii, if all is true, Tubbs will want to run to Miami... But he is a smart man, he will stay put... he is a good coach and now has it made down there... only problem is he won't look that good anymore!!!! RTR!!! # posted by Anonymous : 3:15 AM
LOL Bamarod... Good stuff. Yeah as hard as it is to wait it really doesnt bother me to do so knowing that change is'a coming! And thats true about Tubb's apperance.. he wont have anyone to help make him look like as good as Shula did!!!

Yep, if you check out the poster on Wikipedia, Streyeder, he attends Auburn U. & is studying Wireless Engineering. Also, like all barner fans, he is obsessed with Bama!

its bull sh**...check out the article now..."boy you can add anything you want in here cant you" was also added on that blurb just to show how easy it is to amend the articles or add bull sh** to wikipedia. I will no longer use wiki. Damn it would be cool though!!! Roll Tide!! # posted by Anonymous : 7:32 AM
It's fake! It says so at the bottom of the article. # posted by STRIKE3 : 7:40 AM
Yeah Wikipedia is NOT a source for..anything. I can edit it to say anything I want it to. If I wanted it to say Spurrier died in 2000 I could and it'd be viewable immediately. Stupid Wikipedia! # posted by Anonymous : 7:43 AM

TUSCALOOSA | Mike Shula has been dismissed as the University of Alabama’s head football coach, multiple sources close to the Crimson Tide football program told The Tuscaloosa News on Sunday night.
Shula notified his assistant coaches late Sunday night after UA director of athletics Mal Moore gave him the news, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
The Crimson Tide staff and players had a team meeting at the Paul W. Bryant Hall Academic Center on Sunday night, but Shula and the assistant coaches were not aware of their status at that time. The meeting concluded at approximately 9:15 p.m.
However, two sources confirmed to The News that Shula and Moore met after that time.
Moore and UA President Dr. Robert Witt met on Sunday afternoon, apparently to finalize their decision on Shula’s future.
Shula, 41, had been hired as the Crimson Tide’s football coach in May of 2003. The former UA quarterback had a coaching record of 26-23 in four seasons at the Tide helm.
He was given a raise and contract extension at the end of the 2005 season, following a 10-2 yard which culminated with a victory in the Cotton Bowl.
More information will be published as the story develops. # posted by Anonymous : 8:31 AM
Does anyone know anything about a time when the University is going to fill us in on what's going on?? I know that Shula had a bad season and lost to Auburn yet again but unless Malfunction Moore and his crew have a big name coach lined up as Shula's replacement I think they've fumbled yet again. My fingers are still crossed for Spurrier, but that almost seems too good to be true. Regardless, the University needs to tell us something . . . # posted by Anonymous : 8:32 AM
Get it together Mr. Blogger. First, your posts are terrible. Everyone knows that wikipedia can be edited by anyone with a computer. Second, you have failed to put simple google ads on your blog during this high traffic period. The quality of your posts has been slipping since last week. You now have a responsibility after this high traffic week to put up quality posts, and not all this junk. # posted by Anonymous : 8:34 AM
So will Shula coach at the bowl game (if we have one) or will the new coach coach? # posted by Anonymous : 9:01 AM
It now says "On November 27, 2006 Spurrier will be announced as the head coach at Iowa State University. $30 million for 10 years plus incentive bonuses."
Damn Steve can't make his mind up. Mindless Bammers, keep dreaming. # posted by Anonymous : 9:07 AM

Who would Bryant be going to see in Austin? Mack Brown? Just what this state needs, another Brown as a head coach. It owuld be ironic to have the same board get rid of one brother and hire another, even if for different jobs. # posted by Anonymous : 10:00 AM

you idiots need to remember, bryant jr is a business man, and has many people working for him that use that plane. he has 3 or 4 huge businesses and some are nation wide, which is where he earns his money to donate to the university like he does, which is what gives him so much power, besides the fact of his last name. it is probably strictly a business flight not associated with football, or the university. and hell no mack brown is not coming here, are you blind, deaf or retarted for thinking that # posted by Anonymous : 10:53 AM

He said, "As of right now, I am the head coach of the University of South Carolina." That doesn't mean he will be later this week, or even after the bowl game.

If he's going to Austin it's to talk to Gene Chizik. He's the DC for Texas and legit. Ask anyone from the Big 12 and they'll tell you he's the reason Texas won the NC, not Vince Young (although he didn't hurt). # posted by Anonymous : 3:14 PM
They won't go for Chizik becuase 1. Texas D looked bad this year 2. Bama wants someone that will look good for the Boosters from day 1, otherwise known as a "sexy" name who will require a 7 figure salary. We need fresh, young blood with roots to the South. Who is that? I have no idea, but I know I dont want Spurrier or Bowden or Sabon for the long run. # posted by Anonymous : 3:32 PM
You can give up on Chizik, he was supposedly named Iowa State head coach today.
