OK...I've been pondering this houndstooth visor thing and I'd love some input on how people feel. I've been pondering the houndstooth visors lately and have come up with this conclusion:
I personally think that we should flee from the houndstooth visor idea because if we land Spurrier, he'll want and need his own identity. Visor, yes, but houndstooth visor, no. Houndstooth was Bear's signature. I named my firstborn Bryant so I do have respect for Bear's legacy. However, we dont need to mix the two. If we want Spurrier, we have to stroke his ego. We cant combine him with the Bear. We have to honor the Bear's legacy, but must move forward at the same time. Remember folks, in front of the new endzone of Bryant Denny is an empty circle. The school obviously plans on having more national championships. This circle will proudly contain the statue of the next coach that will give us #13(or more). We need to look forward and make room for the next coach(hopefully Spurrier) to leave a legacy (and hopefully fill the circle with his statue!!)
So lets pull out the visors, but leave the houndstooth for the top hats(and the Nike ball caps that are going on Ebay for $50 a pop!!)I'd love your feedback!! These are just my thoughts. # posted by Anonymous : 4:25 PM
