South Carolina / Spurrier contract
Do you think that MAYBE the administration knows how difficult it is to win at South Carolina? Where else would you get incentives to win 8 to 9 games in a year? :-)

Annual Guaranteed Compensation Increases

Coach's annual guaranteed compensation shall increase as follows:

(a) If the football team wins eight (8) games in the regular season and post-season, Coach's annual guaranteed compensation shall increase by the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00); or

(b) If the football team wins nine (9) games in the regular season and post-season, Coach's annual guaranteed compensation shall increase by the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00)

Spurrier's contract with South Carolina

Comments: Think about this folks.
If Shula is retained as HC, but changes in his staff have to be mandated (forced) by the administration, how much respect do you think anyone (asst. coaches, players, fans, alumni, opponents etc.) are going to have for shula or the program? Also, what quality of assistant coaches is he going to be able to attract to a program that has a head coach that is on a "one more year" probation? Hopefully, the management at this University is not blinded to the fact that such moves would be a prescription for futher humiliation of this once proud program. They have to know that a move such as that would only lead to failure and another Auburn victory.

# posted by Anonymous Anonymous : 9:34 PM   For the love of GOD, give it up. Spurrier is not even a remote possibility, yet he's all you can talk about. I guess it's getting you more hits for your blog, which = $$$.
# posted by Anonymous Anonymous : 3:14 PM   haha. you think i get paid for this blog? hahahahahahaha

it's hosted on blogger. do you see any advertising on this thing? how exactly would I get paid?

spurrier is who i REALLY want to coach this football team. the signs are pointing to him being the next coach. before talking shit, just sit back and watch what plays out.

# posted by Anonymous Anonymous : 10:07 PM   I was told after UF game that SS would be next coach. Same source also told me Price was gone & Shula was on list before the press conference went down.
# posted by Anonymous Anonymous : 10:53 PM   The only "signs" that Spurrier is coming to Alabama are figments of Tide fans' imaginations. If/when Shula's fired, there will be multiple candidates interviewed, and Spurrier will NOT be one of them.

2.Rodriguez- WVU
# posted by Anonymous Anonymous : 10:43 AM   Why do so many people seem to think Spurrier is a done deal? By the sound of him on that interview it seemed like he pretty much shot Miami and Bama down. Don't get me wrong all I want for Christmas is SS for HC! I just don't see it happening. Give me reasons it looks in favor of Spurrier.. please!
