Please post something about what Oliver says for those of us who can't listen--thanks. # posted by Anonymous : 3:46 PM
Oliver said that Alabama sucks and that everyone who has any sense will come over to the Auburn side. He further iterated that Tuberville Stadium at Tuscaloosa should be sold at auction and this thing they call "Alabama Football" be disbanded.
Auburn's heaven is here and now. Bammer is in turmoil and will always be no matter who they attempt to hire. I say "attempt" because Bammer has interviewed some great coaches over the years. Somehow they keep hiring the losers of the bunch and they will do so again. Perkins...loser. Curry...loser. Stallings...loser. DuBose...loser. Fran...loser (except at TCU). Shula...loser. The next loser will be there from 3-6 years as were the previous losers. Bammer will do everything stupid they can to run the human being off and will never maintain any stability (which is mandatory in today's world) because until they bury "the hat" things will continue as they are no matter who they hire.
Can't blame Tiders for wanting him, though. Good coach. # posted by Anonymous : 4:04 PM
Spurrier has no intentions as of now... when the money comes into play that could change. Who takes a job WITH the intentions of leaving? # posted by Anonymous : 4:07 PM
Auburn lives to beat us, we live to win National Championships. We understand that you have nothing but us to look up to........We have brought the national media to you doorstep but your just not good enouth the get a shot. Roll Tide # posted by Anonymous : 4:08 PM
I've heard stronger denials-(see Tuberville & Fran). Still think Spurrier will be next Bama coach. # posted by Anonymous : 4:12 PM
Another fabricated quote huh? Spurrier ain't even in South Carolina? Whne did they talk to him, that quote sounds bogus, in addition to that......why didn't he say that before the big clemson game???? # posted by 4SEAM : 4:28 PM
the barn lives to have immoral relations with animals...nasty sodomite pervs..... # posted by 4SEAM : 4:29 PM
Easy on the barn if you had lived all your life in shadow of a big brother who is clearly better than you wouldn't you be bitter. they are like children running around playing cowboy & indian....they just never have been the cowboy so they just dont know where we are coming from..Thank goodness they have Bama to look out for them. # posted by Anonymous : 4:34 PM
Its good to ba a Auburn Fan= 5 wins over Ala
Its good to be a Alabama Fan
Alabama has won 12 national championships, Alabama has recorded 53 bowl game appearances and 30 bowl game wins both records. Alabama has won 21 SEC Championships, more than any other team in the Southeastern Conference. Hummm Who FEELS the Best......... # posted by Anonymous : 4:48 PM
From Wikipedia
"In a somewhat controversial move, he left Ole Miss after the 1998 season to take the head job at SEC Western Division rival Auburn. At one point, Tuberville told an Ole Miss alumni group that the only way he would leave Oxford was "in a pine box." Two days later, Coach Tuberville accepted the job as head coach of the Auburn Tigers."
take what coaches say with a grain of salt. # posted by Anonymous : 5:15 PM
to the idiot that called Gene Stallings a loser...You might want to go back and check your records bud. I think he did something your fabulous Tele-Tubby coudn't or can't do....that's win a National Championship. Yes the barn has something good going now. They do have a good program going but all good things come to an end. As for your "thumb", you can pull it out of that pig and stick it up your own ass. We'll have our own finger for you next year and it won't be because we think you're number one! # posted by Anonymous : 5:15 PM

I would much rather have someone younger that can stay and coach for more than ten years. Spurrier is too old at 61.
Petrino would be a much better match for Bama.
You guys are not thinking about the future...
Face the fact, Spurrier is too old to face the pressure he would face at Bama. The expections would be too high at Bama.
At South Carolina, their fans are just happy to make it to a Bowl Game...I don't blame him for not wanting to leave. He is not as young as he used to be and frankly, I don't think he could handle the pressure.
I think Petrino could. We need a younger, proven winner.
Get over spurrier, I don't want him. # posted by Anonymous : 5:32 PM
Look what the last 10 years of coaching hires has done for us!Say we get Spurrier if he coaches til he's 71 we will be in much better shape than the last bunch of jackasses have done! # posted by Anonymous : 5:40 PM
Yeah we said B.Bowden was too old when we hired Perkins! # posted by Anonymous : 5:42 PM
Spurrier wants to stay where he is and I am glad.
Take a look at Petrino. He is a much better prospect.
Spurrier is over the hill and doesn't want the pressure at Bama. # posted by Anonymous : 5:55 PM
I just hope we get one of the coaches that keep getting mentioned not some too bit hack that will get his doors blown off in the SEC.Someone w/SEC experiance!! # posted by Anonymous : 5:59 PM
Amen!! That's what's scary when they do it this way. We don't know who they'll select and with the buyout on Shula, I'm sure somebody wants to save some money, which they can do if they pick, as you mentioned, 'a two bit hack" # posted by Anonymous : 6:03 PM
There is just something about Petrino I dont like. The Barner offense didnt look so hot when he was there, not sure if there was a conflict with someone or if he was a stooge like Rader. If I couldnt get Spurrier or Saban(who knows?) I'd probably go after someone like Paul Johnson at Navy. Of course all this depends on who contacts UA trying to get an interview.
And CW if you read this, this is ya boy! hahaha

Stallings was a perennial loser prior to being hired at Alabama as was every coach hired at Alabama after the 'Bah died. Did Stallings win a national title while at Bammer? Yes. He was still forced out in the end. Hrm...wonder why?
And yes, beating Bammer has it's pluses. For example, one is that they'll never win their Mythical Titles with that final loss. But my friends...don't worry to much about "The Barn" because while Bammer is happy with winning seasons that just won't do at "The Barn". Seems the shoes have changed feet my loser friends, the only difference is that Auburn won't claim mythical titles retroactively like Bammer has done so gracefully. Losers. # posted by Anonymous : 6:16 PM
Uh Hm, well we've been called worse by far better WLSD, so hush up # posted by Anonymous : 6:19 PM
The Barn doesnt claim titles because they never come close to actually 'winning' titles. You have to make it there to actually win it. I take it that logic doesnt bode well down in Lowderville. I'm impressed!

Why don't you worry about that dick w/ears coach you got and stay off here!!The only reason the "barners"get on here is because they are worried to death that "The Sleeping Giant" has awoke and they are about to get a big crimson boot put in that A$$!!!See if yall can't get that fake ass coach to self proclaim you National Champs again so you can really have something to talk about you bunch of wanna be a$$holes!! # posted by Anonymous : 6:24 PM

auburn wont claim mythical titles my ass, what about that peoples national champshionship bull shit a couple of years ago. that was some comical stuff!!! # posted by Anonymous : 6:46 PM
Just saw an interview w/"tha Hump"and he agreed w/the firing not the way it was done. # posted by Anonymous : 6:53 PM
Stallings was not a perenial loser, he was a very good defensive coordinator on some offensively bad Cowboys teams...and he won some games then lost some games at Texas A&M...
He wa slaways a displined guy, great defensive guy, and decisive, he also scared people...and had a presence.
That was mroe then enough.
He also understood what it took to be coach at Bama, guts, and that sucker had em'....
Sure he wa sconservative but he made the ration conservative decisions, he worke dhard on the running game, had many runs, and put the best players on the field....Mal Moore screwed some of it up but Stallings was a very good hire. # posted by 4SEAM : 7:00 PM

In RE: to all of you AU fans posting comments on here. GO TO HELL! You all are just mad as hell b/c no matter how great, fine, and good AU THINKS they are...you guys will never be a favorite. Why do you think you'll never get tp play for a SEC Championship?...face it...the big whigs HATE AU.
Furthermore...Spurrier never said "there is no chance in hell he would be AL football coach"...if I do remember correctly TIGERS, EAGLES whatever the hell you are...Tellytuberville said he wasn't leaving Ole Miss and well lookie lookie where he is now..and he'll probably leave there soon also.
So GO TO HELL all you AU fans. Get over it...no matter what happnes to AL ...they will ALWAYS be favored over AU. # posted by Anonymous : 7:37 PM
Got to be easy on Barney, he cant see very well in the shadow of Bama. Mythical Titles? # posted by Anonymous : 7:38 PM

ragintide last night you hit the nail on the head w/your source and that Shula had been fired.Anything else on Spurrier? # posted by Anonymous : 8:02 PM
Let's all just be realistic and hope that the admin makes the correct decision. It is absolutely imperative that they get it right this time. If truth were spoken, Moore would be leaving with Shula, but because of the money he is able to raise he will stay. We truly need the pride and discipline back at UA, the wins will follow. BB always said he was molding football players, but more importantly he was molding men. Alabama football desperately needs that approach to coaching to return, a 24/7 coach. As much as I would like to see Spurrier here, he's not a 24/7 coach, he wants to be on the links by 3:30 every day. # posted by Anonymous : 8:07 PM
Someone on Finebaum today asked if the next head coach might come from the Jimmy Sexton camp and Finebaum said he thought it was a good possibility.Anybody know who Sexton represents other than Saban and Spurrier because I do believe that BAMA has a coach lined up just not convinced it's as top tier coach like these two.I don't know if I feel comfortable w/Johnson or Grobe and how their offense would go over @The Capstone.Don't get me wrong anything is better than what we just got rid of. Just wanted to hear what you guys have heard or what you might know.THANKS # posted by Anonymous : 8:15 PM
Is Radar gone too?If so who will be calling the plays if we get to a bowl?Beamer and Fat Phil are a couple more that Sexton represents Beamer ain't leaving and The Fat One can Burn in Hell!!! # posted by Anonymous : 8:29 PM
