After flirting with disaster for the past three weeks, Pete Carrolls Trojans were finally knocked off...by the Beavers, no less.
The referees tried everything they could to give USC this football game (every pass that Steve Smith caught on the final drive should have been offensive interference), but it was to no avail, as John David Booty showed, again, that he is no Matt Leinart.
