Don't you just hate that guy that starts up a blog in the middle of the week, in the middle of the season, and then tries to promote the ever living shit out of it because he feels like what he has to say is more important than everyone else?
That guy is me. Haha.
To start off, I'll fill you in on a little bit about me. I'm new to the "college sports blog world" and I may not be very good at it at first, but just like freshman cornerbacks, I'll probably get better with experience.
I am a diehard Alabama fan who has lived in Memphis for the past 20 years. I'm only 23 years old. No, I did not attend the University of Alabama, but my father is a member of the alumni association. We held season tickets from 1990 until 2004, when our jobs finally made it nearly impossible for us to spend entire weekends in Alabama. I went to Northwest Community College for two years and I now work as the IT Manager for Desoto Diagnostic Imaging. I have a one year old, a beautiful fiance who I have been with for 2 and a half years, and I sing in a band called A Life Away.
I hate Phillip Fulmer, I hate Tommy Tuberville, I hate Coach O, I hate the color orange, and I'm generally a pretty realistic kinda guy. If I think something is bullshit, I'll call it. Before this past weekend I had a general fondness for Coach Shula and his staff, but that changed in the fourth quarter with about 8 minutes left in Gainesville. I still think he's headed in the right direction, but I think the kids are getting used to losing again. They don't know what it takes to come from behind, and that's killing me.
I respect the guys at Roll Bama Roll, Every Day Should Be Saturday, The House Rock Built, and many many other fan blogs. I don't just talk about Alabama football, I make football picks each week (both straight up and against the spread), and I like defense more than offense.
That about sums me up. You can use all of that for future reference.
