Alabama looked like complete shit. That was a horrific display of both offense and defense. We couldn't stop the run at ALL. Against DUKE. Just wait until we meet up with Tennessee, who's offense is absolutely ROARING right now. Jeez, this is ridiculous. I could actually see smoke coming out of Joe Kines's ears during the first half last night.
Anyway, here's what happened with my picks.
Clemson at Wake Forest (+17) -- Wake Forest and Clemson have played to within a touchdown the past few times, except when Wake spanks em. Wake won last year 31-27 AT Clemson, lost the year before that by 7, and won at Clemson two years ago 45-17. It's a close rivalry, even though the oddsmakers don't want you to think that, and with Wake being 5-0 and at home, they'll be pumped for this game. Clemson may win, but Wake will cover. FINAL RESULT: Clemson 27 Wake Forest 20 (Gary wins)
West Virginia (-20.5) at Mississippi St. -- The line opened at 28. It's down to 20.5. Are you kidding me? State has been atrocious so far this year. They haven't won at home. West Virginia is averaging 300 yards rushing per game. I think they'll cover three touchdowns easily. FINAL RESULT: West Virginia 42 Miss St 14 (Gary wins)
San Diego St at BYU (-28) -- San Diego St got beat at San Jose State last week by three touchdowns. BYU is a scoring machine. They throw the ball all over the place. And they play DAMN well at home. The last time BYU had a revenge game against San Diego St (who beat them last year), they won the following year 59-21. I'm going with BYU. FINAL RESULT: BYU 47 San Diego St 17 (Gary wins)
Oregon at California (-6) -- Cal will destroy Oregon. They're clicking on all cylinders right now. Easy bet. FINAL RESULT: Cal 45 Oregon 24 (Gary wins)
TCU (+2.5) at Utah FINAL RESULT: Utah 20 TCU 7 (Gary loses)
so overall this weekend, on my money picks, I was 4-1. That means if you straight wagered $100 on each game, you would've won $300. On the year I'm 18-5 against the spread. That means if you'd straight wagered $100 on each game, you'd be up $1300 now. Not bad.
